I’ve got a lot of time on my hands this week, a.k.a. March Break. Don’t hate! I’ve been sleeping in, organizing our new place and finding inspiration in all things Spring. I came home with two amazing finds from the grocery store today – tulips and tortellini. These adorable, tri-coloured tortellini made me smile ear to ear. They are the perfect pasta for entertaining and making an impression. They come in various sizes, fillings and colours! I like to pair these with a delicious Tomato Cream Sauce recipe. Cheesy, smooth and downright good!
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 Tablespoons Butter
1 whole Medium Onion, Finely Diced
4 cloves Garlic, Minced
2 cans (15 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
Salt And Pepper, to taste
Dash Of Sugar (more To Taste)
1 cup Heavy Cream
Grated Parmesan Or Romano Cheese, To Taste
Fresh Basil, Chopped
This sauce can easily be served with any pasta variety – but these vibrant, little rings are my personal favourite.
Counting down the days to Spring, one tortellini at a time!
