It’s no secret that my favourite holiday is Christmas. My family and friends can attest to my enthusiasm when it comes to this festive time of year. I usually get into the holiday groove at the beginning of December. My shopping is typically done; tree is trimmed; and I have started my winter break countdown.
With the year coming to an end, the holidays give birth to a lot of self-reflection for me. This year has been full of many “new” experiences for me. A new school; a new blog; a new home and a new outlook on life, spirituality and health. I’ve taken a lot of risks this year, pushing and challenging myself in ways I never have before. It’s taken a lot of dedication, commitment and perseverance – but totally worth it. I’ve grown – in fact, I’ve blossomed. The process hasn’t been easy, and I have my family and friends (near and far) to thank for keeping me focused and grounded.
Your emails, texts, calls, coffee chats and phone calls have provided sources of encouragement, strength and inspiration. You’ve made me the merriest Smidget! I couldn’t get you all a present, but I wanted to acknowledge how much your support and love is appreciated.
I wish you all a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Festivus, and Happy Holiday. I hope this season is filled with love, peace and continued blessings. Cherish time with family, friends and loved ones.
